Church – Activities/Events
Our church family continually seeks opportunities to come together for fellowship. We believe that we can serve each other better when we get to know each other, personally. To accomplish this, we have a fellowship lunch every Sunday after worship services. Our visitors are invited to stay and participate with us. Also, the church building is available during the week for church sponsored activities. We also meet in each other’s homes and other venues for potlucks, Bible studies, and activities such as singles, couples, women and men’s retreats.

Year of Evangelism:
GGCC STARTS BILINGUAL BIBLE STUDY ON CHRIST
WITH MAJOR PHILIPPINE DIALECTS AND SPANISH
SAN FRANCISCO – The Golden Gate Church of Christ (GGCC) jumpstarted the 2009 Year of Evangelism by offering a FREE BILINGUAL “WE CARE” BIBLE STUDY on Christ in English and the major Philippine languages and dialects like Spanish, Tagalog, Ilokano, Cebuano, Pangasinan, Bikol, Kapampangan, Hiligaynon and Samarenyo.
The free “WE CARE” Bible Study will answer directly from the Bible the timeless question: “What if Christ were to come right now? Would you know for sure, nothing doubting, that you would go to heaven.”
The bilingual “WE CARE” Bible Study is offered free to share the gospel of Christ in its purity and simplicity and to balance the extreme commercialism in the observance of the Christmas holidays and start a positive spiritual gear for 2009.
Starting the week before Christmas, the free bilingual “WE CARE” Bible Study is scheduled weekly at 5:00PM on Wednesday and Sunday in the privacy of homes and at the GGCC Fellowship Hall, 701-8th Avenue, San Francisco, California Tel. (415)221-2631 (415)584-7095. Visit website:www.goldengatechurchofchrist.org
On October 4, 1952, the Golden Gate Church of Christ in San Francisco co-supported with sister congregations in the United States the late Ralph Brashears and his wife Bernice as missionaries to the Philippines. Ralph Brashears started the Philippine Bible College (PBC) with a local established college in Tayug, Pangasinan. Subsequently, the Philippine Bible College was relocated at the Rimando Road in Baguio City.
On September 4, 1953, the GGCC elders decided to allocate building fund together with sister congregations for the construction of the Philippine Bible College in Baguio City. Hundreds of preachers and evangelists graduated (Associate in Theology and Bachelor of Theology) at the existing PBC in Baguio City. These PBC graduates are now serving in various congregations and preaching schools in the Philippines, Asia and even in the United States.
